Dear Sister will ans. your most welcome letter of April 9th which I recieved yesterday was sure glad to get it for it has been some time since I had from you. I had a letter from May a few days ago it was dated March 30th. Well I am in Germany now cant tell how long we will be out there yet guess not more then a year or two, it dosent lack but a few days of being one year since we started from New York. Am getting anxious to get back but wouldent take a good deal for my experience over here But think I could get along with out seeing much more of Europe there has been a few discharged from our Reg. But it is rather hard to get a discharge over here
Say I think those chickens will be Big enough to fry when I get there alright and you want to have quite a Bunch for I may stay for a few days. Say I think Mathew is starting to plowing rather young isent he. Grapes seem to be the main crop in this part of the world it is very hilly where we are. the Mosel, River is where we are located the Railroad is on one side we are on the other the hills are nearly strate up; and grape vines all the way up far. they do most of the work by hand horses are scarce some work cows. they have thir gardens close to the river the fruit trees are all in bloom looks as though they might have a little fruit.
there seems to be some of the Boys from around there getting Back guess I am in the wrong Bunch to get home quick. We are having Better weather now then we did in France we also have good rooms & Beds so I guess we arent so bad off after all. Say you spoke of wanting a picture will send you a few they arent very good but are the best I have.
And B.M. has gone to town guess he likes it there as he seems to make it his headquarters —
You say you haven’t herd from Rena lately Ray was telling me she was to be married about Easter and was going to Oklahoma to make their home. I havent seen Ray or Bugs for about three weeks as we are about 25 miles apart tell John I will drop him a line next time.
Will bring this to a close hoping to find all well give my best regards to all. Your loving Bro Will
